Sometimes I see clearly that the best thing about my job is the view from my desk.
To call it a corner office is absurb, since it's simply the corner of a large, shared room with very little heating or light. But the view--aaahhhh--is magnificent.

I process my world both visually and verbally, in equal parts. I have a day job at the American Philosophical Society (APS) Museum where I spend days happily thinking, looking, and writing. The rest of the time I try to make my own art work but am often too tired. I want it all. My visual blog--lots of pics, not much text--used to be called Synaesthetica, but no one could spell it. So now it's called Knitting While Sleeping, which I actually have been observed doing.
